More than just a play session

Top Tracks is a hands-on train play experience for children who love to explore, build and imagine.

Big layouts. Motorised trains. Tunnels, bridges, switches — all set up in a space where children can explore and get completely absorbed in play.

It’s simple, screen-free fun. The kind where they don’t want to leave.

Where it started

Hi — I’m Sonia 👋

I’m a Norfolk mum of two boys, Harry and Leo.

This whole thing started years ago, when Harry was small and completely train-mad. I used to take him to a local train play event — and he loved it. I loved it too.

I remember thinking, I could do this.

And eventually, I did.

I went on to run train play events across multiple venues — weekends full of trains, sold-out sessions, and a job that didn’t feel like work.

Then Covid came.

A year of events disappeared overnight. I gave everything back, and life moved on.

Why I started again

Years later, I found myself watching Leo sitting on the floor with his train tracks.

Completely absorbed. In his own world.

And I knew.

I had to do it again.

Built from scratch

This time, I started from nothing.

Sourcing tracks from loft clear-outs.
Cleaning every piece in the sink and the bath.

Fixing motorised trains by hand — opening them up,
checking gears, getting them running again.

Late nights. Weekends.
In between school runs and bedtime.

It’s been a bit relentless… but also strangely calming.
Bringing something back to life.

Why Top Tracks is different

These aren’t brand new toys out of a box.

They’re classic, well-loved tracks — saved, restored, and ready to be played with again.

It’s nostalgia. It’s sustainability.
And most importantly, it’s fun.

For children who love trains — and for the grown-ups who remember them too.

Come and Play

Top Tracks is designed for children aged 2–8+, with space for siblings to play together — exploring, building, experimenting and creating their own layouts.

You can join in, or just sit back and watch them get lost in it.

We’d love to see you there.
